North America

According to an article from November 2013 on CleanTechnica.com, the e-Up! is likely to be offered in the US within a year. No references are given, so it could just be a personal opinion based on nothing. On the other hand, we’d like to think the e-Up! could make it across the pond to EV lovers in the US and Canada.

China

In conjunction with the 2014 Beijing Auto Show, Volkswagen has announced the e-Up! electric vehicle will be launched in the China Car Market in the second half of the year. Since the e-Up! will initially be imported into the country (rather than being built in the country), buyers won’t receive any green-car subsidies. Volkswagen plans to build the EV in China starting in early 2016, which will lower the price from 250.000 yuan to 160.000 yuan. (source: Car News China)
