Hi, and welcome to the only Volkswagen e-Up! Forum on the internet, purely dedicated to discussing and celebrating the small electric vehicle from Volkswagen! The e-Up! is the all-electric version of Volkswagen's Up! city car. It's powered by a 60kW electric motor and a 18.7 kWh lithium-ion battery pack tucked into the floorboards. With AC and DC charging capabilities, the e-Up! can fill the batteries and be good to travel up to 150 km (on the EURO test cycle). Sign up and let us know where you're from - we'd also love to know if you are planning on purchasing, or if you have already purchased an e-Up! |

Hi! I am happy to be joining the e-Up forum. I am not from the UK but am from a non-English speaking country so please be careful with my language on this forum! Klaus |

Thanks for creating the forum. I live in Australia and I am also very interested in the E-UP. I've owned a regular UP for the last 12 months and really like the vehicle. The fuel consumption has been impressive and the long term fuel usage on the computer is 4.6L/100KM. So I am quite happy with that but if there is anything the UP lacks is a bit more acceleration from the traffic lights. The 3 cylinder 1.0 litre engine probably has good torque for an engine this size but it's not a lot and doesn't make for easy driving. Sure it gets around OK but I feel the gear ratios are set up more for fuel economy than zipping around a city. I'm sure the electric version would be much nicer to drive. I've noticed some very low mileage E-UP's on Autotrader for £13,990 which sounds quite a bargain. I look forward to hearing some owners experiences on this forum. |

Hi, just bought a used 2015 e-Up! To use as a commuter car. Drive 60 km each way to work in Norway. These days in -5 to +5 C˚ I get 80-90 km distance from it. We also have an e-Golf, and will in a months time also get a new Hyundai Ionic. We are soon 4 people that will use theese 3 EVs. Chose the e-Up after comparing and testing it against the - Fiat 500 e - Mitsubishi i-Miev - Smart ForFour Final btw VW and Fiat Why e-Up? Quickcharge capability 0-80% in 15 minutes. Good to drive and best seats of the four. Feeling of quality Will drive 25 000-30 000 km each year. Are there still people in here? |
